Megan Khahil
Studio Manager
Design has always felt like home to Megan, something she’s long felt is in her blood. Growing up with a father whose passion for design, architecture, and furniture led Megan to pursue a career in design. At Wayne State University, she graduated in 2020 with a BFA in Interior Design, and a minor in Art History. Megan and her classmates won first place in the Cultural Design Summit, as well as first place at the Mike Illitch School of Business with their design of a lactation room.
Megan loves drawing detailed 3D renderings and construction documents, working in AutoCAD and SketchUp, and spending her spare time watching videos to learn new tips and tricks. Prior to joining Ellwood Interiors, Megan designed a restaurant that received the 2022 Grosse Pointe Beautification award. Additionally, she taught architecture at a local high school, and remains active on its advisory board, finding it fulfilling to advise students on their future design careers.
The desire to be outdoors pulls at Megan, and on weekends you’ll often find her hiking, kayaking, and exploring new places with her family. She enjoys balancing adventure with good food, often seeking out great local restaurants to try.
Megan is proud to be the first in her family to earn a college degree and works hard to be a strong role model to her younger siblings. Married to her high school sweetheart, she enjoys sharing her love of design throughout their home.
Being part of a firm as dynamic and opportunity-filled as Ellwood Interiors is something Megan doesn’t take for granted. Surrounded by driven, talented women, she’s continually inspired by a culture that supports growth, celebrates excellence, and encourages everyone to rise to their fullest potential.
